For couples without children

Studio Flats: The self-contained flats have bed-sitting room with open-plan kitchen area, plus shower room with WC. They are equipped with fridge freezer, electric cooker, cutlery and crockery, central heating and basic furniture. Rent is £522.00 per month for the 2012/2013 academic year. The rent includes heating and water bills, but does not include electricity. Studio flats are designed for couples without children only - other relatives cannot be accommodated.

For couples with children

One or Two Bedroom Flats: The flats comprise a living room with kitchenette, bathroom and one or two bedrooms. They are equipped with fridge freezer, electric cooker, cutlery and crockery, central heating and basic furniture. Rents range from £616 to £810 per month for one bedroom flats and £710 to £834 for 2 bedroom flats, depending on size, for the 2012/2013 academic year. Gas and water bills are included, but not electricity. The accommodation is for the student, their spouse or partner and one or two dependent children only. Other relatives cannot be accommodated.

Bungalows: The bungalows comprise a living room with kitchenette, bathroom and two bedrooms. They are equipped with fridge freezer, electric cooker, cutlery and crockery, and basic furniture. Rents are between £632 and £657 per month for the 2012/2013 academic year. Water bills are included, but not gas or electricity bills. The accommodation is for the student, their spouse or partner and one or two dependent children only. Other relatives cannot be accommodated.

Conditions of tenancy

The initial lease is for one year and one month’s notice is required to terminate the lease. Renewals are granted provided there is no change in student status. The maximum stay in Nansen Village is four years. Please note we do not have any accommodation for families with more than two children.

In all cases, eligibility for residence ceases with the completion of the tenant’s degree.
